ביום שני בבוקר היה יום שמשי והחלטנו לצאת לטייל, במרחק נסיעה קצר מהעיר קלבאקה נמצא פלא הטבע מטאורה כ-60 עמודי סלע תלולים שנוצרו לפני מליוני שנה בגלל רעידת אדמה וסחף שעליהם נבנו 6 מנזרים מבודדים הנראים כתלויים ב"אמצע השמיים" וזה פירוש השם מטאורה. המנזרים נמנים עם הגדולים והחשובים ביוון.

הדרך בין המנזרים, נסיעה של 3 ק"מ בהר היא תצפית מרהיבה המראות לצוקי הסלע והמנזרים, ניתן לבקר בתוך המנזרים עד השעה 13:00 בצהריים ולהתרשם מהחיים של הנזירות והנזירים.

סביב מטאורה משתרעות חורשות של עצי דולב, ברוש אלון, אורן ואשוח אותם זכינו לראות בתקופת השלכת ובצבעים מרהיבים. האזור של מטאורה ידוע גם בשפע בעלי החיים המצויים בו וניתן לראות בו מגוון חיות ועופות דורסים כגון: בז צוקים, בז נודד, עייט, נץ, רחם ועוד.

Monday morning was a sunny day and we decided to travel , a short drive from the town of Kalbaka is the natural wonder of Meteora about 60 steep rock pillars formed millions of years ago due to an earthquake and alluvium.

6 isolated monasteries were built hanging in the middle of the sky. The monasteries are among the largest and most important in Greece.

The road between the monasteries, a 3 km drive on the mountain is a spectacular view of the rock cliffs and monasteries, you can visit inside the monasteries until 13:00 noon and be impressed by the life of the nuns and monks.

Around Meteora are groves of plane trees, cypress, oak, pine and spruce that we were privileged to see during the fall and in spectacular colors. The area of ​​Meteora is also known for the abundance of animals found in it and you can see a variety of animals and birds of prey such as: rock falcon, migratory falcon, eagle, hawk, uterus and more.
