אמצע דצמבר יוון מתחילה להתקרר ולנו יש בעיקר בגדי קיץ הרי התוכנית היתה לטייל במדינות אסיה החמות ביולי שארזנו את הבית והתיקים. גל קורונה חדש ואירופה לאט לאט נסגרת ופתאום מנגד יש שמועות שבקרוב ניתן יהיה סוף סוף להיכנס לתאילנד. התרגשות!!!!

בנובמבר כבר התחלתי להתכתב ולברר על בתי ספר בינלאומים בקופנגן. עשינו את כל מה שנדרש: טופסי הרשמה, תרגמנו את תעודות בית הספר לאנגלית , הזמנו און ליין ממשרד הפנים את תעודות הלידה של הילדים באנגלית שריינו מקום בבתי הספר אבל בבית הספר הבריטי wisdom של אריאל לא ניתן לארגן וויזת סטודנט מפני שהוא אינו מוכרז כבינלאומי ובבית הספר הבריטי הבינלאומי Si Ri Panya צריכים הילדים קודם להגיע לראיון אישי באנגלית.

בהחלטה של 24 שעות הוחלט להוציא לפועל את תוכנית ב', הגעה לתאילנד במסגרת ויזה של תייר ל3 חודשים ואז נראה.

תהליך הנפקת הויזה היה מסודר ומאורגן היטב, פנינו לשגרירות תאילנד באתונה לברר אם בכלל אפשרי כתיירים ביוון להנפיק לנו וויזה מקומית לתאילנד, התשובה היתה חיובית.

התהליך כולל: טופס בקשה לוויזה + תמונת פספורט (הבאנו כבר מהארץ), כרטיס טיסה הלוך וחזור ל 90 יום, אישור הזמנת מלון שבהסדר עם הממשלה לבידוד של 16 יום בבנקוק אנחנו בחרנו לעשות את זה במלון דירות The vertical Suite חשבנו שאם כבר אנחנו סגורים בחדר אז שיהיו לפחות 2 שיהיה לנו מרווח מחייה, מטבח ומרפסת. ביטוח רפואי כולל כיסוי לקורונה אנחנו בחרנו לעשות ב trawick international חברת ביטוח בינלאומית למטיילים ונוודים. את כל החומר שולחים במייל לנציג השגרירות ביוון ומקבלים אישור לבוא לשגרירות עם הדרכונים לקבלת הוויזה.

לאחר קבלת הויזה יש להזרים את כל הטפסים למערכת הממוחשבת של השגרירות לקבלת COE ( אישור כניסה) ו 72 שעות לפני הטיסה צריך לעשות בדיקת קורונה ולבקר רופא מקומי לקבלת טופס FIT TO FLY החלק הזה היה מעט מלחיץ לא ידענו איפה ואם בכלל ניתן למצוא רופא שיתן לנו אישור כזה, פנינו נואשות לרופאי המשפחה בארץ לקבל הטופס אבל הם לא היו מוכנים לתת לנו טופס כזה מרחוק. למזלנו הרב מצאנו מרפאה באלמירוס שקיבלה אותנו לבדיקות קורונה והפנתה אותנו גם לבדיקה אצל רופא יווני צעיר ונחמד.

זהו… התיקים נעטפו בניילון נצמד להגן עליהם במסע הארוך, גם הילדים עטפו את עצמם על יחד למען השעשוע ומחר יוצאים לדרך 5 שעות נסיענ לאתונה, טיסה של Air Qatar דרך דוחה ואנחנו בתאילנד. שם מחכה לנו בידוד של 16 יום במלון ואז אנחנו חופשיים לטייל בשיא העונה, במזג אוויר טרופי מושלם והכי חשוב במדינה ללא קורונה.

Next stop Thailand

Mid-December Greece is starting to cool down and we have mostly summer clothes after all the plan was to travel to the hot Asian countries in July when we packed the house and bags. A new corona wave and Europe is slowly closing in. Suddenly on the other hand there are rumors that it will soon be possible to finally enter Thailand. excitement!!!!

By November I had already started to correspond and find out about international schools in ko phangan. We did everything required: registration forms, we translated the school certificates into English, we ordered online from the Ministry of the Interior the birth certificates of the children in English. British International Si Ri Panya Children must first attend a personal interview in English.

In a decision of 24 hours it was decided to implement Plan B, arrival in Thailand under a tourist visa for 3 months and then we will see.

The visa issuance process was orderly and well organized, we contacted the Thai Embassy in Athens to find out if it is at all possible as tourists in Greece to issue us a local visa to Thailand, the answer was yes.

The process includes: Visa application form + passport photo (we have already brought from Israel), round-trip flight ticket for 90 days, confirmation of a hotel in agreement with the government for 16 days isolation in Bangkok we decided book 2 room appartment at the vertical suite hotel So that we will have space for living, kitchen and balcony. Medical insurance including coverage for Corona We chose to do at trawick international an international insurance company for travelers and nomads. All the material is sent by e-mail to the embassy in Greece and then you receive permission to come to the embassy with the passports for the visa.

After receiving the visa, all the forms must be sent to the embassy's computerized system for COE (certificate of entry ) and 72 hours before the flight, a corona examination should be done and a local doctor should be give you FIT TO FLY approval, we desperately approached the family doctors in Israel to get the form but they were not willing to give us such a form remotely. Luckily we found a clinic in Almiros that got us for corona tests and also referred us for a checkup at a nice young Greek doctor.

This is it… The bags were wrapped in Plastic wrap to protect them on the long journey, the kids also wrapped themselves up together for fun and tomorrow for 5 hours we will travel to Athens, Air Qatar flight via Doha and we are in Thailand. There awaits us 16 days of isolation in a hotel and then we are free to travel at the height of the season, in perfect tropical weather and most importantly in a country without Corona.
